Hello everyone! I really hope you’re doing well. Today, I’m just going to do a quick durability review of this Moleskine Pro Project Planner. I purchased this planner a few years back, and it is supposed to be used for a specific project, but I never really got around to using it. So in 2023, I decided to just use it as my go-to planner for the year instead of for something specific. Now I’m going to give you my two cents on it and how it’s held up.
Durability and Features
As you can see, it has held up extremely well. The elastic here is still pretty tight and in good shape. I didn’t use it all that much; I usually put the elastic in the back and keep the planner open like this. I really like that it has three bookmarks.
I can’t show you too many details because there’s a lot of personal stuff in there, but here’s a quick overview of how I used the planner. It’s mostly as a to-do list, so this worked really well because it has a weekly layout. I went back to using a weekly planner after having used daily planners for a while. This worked really well for me because I could check off all my to-dos and have an overview of the week. I wrote down the most important things that needed to be done for the week.
The only thing is you have to date this planner yourself because it’s undated.
Planning Sections
The planner has several planning sections in the front where you can write out all your goals. It includes a monthly overview and a four-month overview. However, I found this section a bit confusing and didn’t use it much. I mainly stuck to the weekly overview and put all my to-dos in for the week.
Availability
The sad thing is, I don’t think Moleskine makes this planner anymore. I looked on their website and couldn’t find it. I did find a link on Amazon, so if you’re interested, I would purchase one soon. They do have Pro planners, which I also reviewed, but they are all dated and have a vertical layout. I don’t like the thin columns because they get cluttered and don’t provide much room to write what you need to do for the day. The vertical layout might be better if you have appointments and need an overview of your day versus a to-do list.
Future Plans
For 2024, I picked up the soft cover Leuchtturm weekly planner, which I already reviewed. It has a vertical layout with plenty of room for my to-dos. I chose this one because the Moleskine Pro Project Planner is not as easily available anymore. I’ll see how it works out and might let you know at the end of the year.
Final Thoughts
If you have any questions, leave me a comment. If you’ve used this planner and enjoyed it or not, let me know. I’m curious to hear your opinion. I think this is a great product with nice quality paper, even though it’s a few years old.
Over the past year, I’ve noticed a decline in Moleskine’s quality, especially in their new planners for 2024. I think the quality is atrocious, and I really hope they improve it. If it keeps going like this, I will not be buying Moleskine anymore. I’ve done videos on this in the past few months, which you can check out on my channel.
