Hello, everyone today, I’m doing a review of this beautiful leather notebook made by the company Soothiand there we’ll also be giving away. So this is the Zodiac Journal Mate by the company Soothi, and I really love this design. It has the Star constellation embossed on the front, so this is the leo one and it says confident and ambitious and boss right here in the front

In the back. It’s really nicely done, you have the different Star constellation, so you like the Big Dipper, Little Dipper and so on. So it’s really nicely done. It’s really unique design. It’s really cool in my opinion, and is this string tie leather journal, so it has this little string tie here, you can open up.

The dimensions on this are 5 by 7 inches or 13 by 18 centimeters. So it is smaller than a 5 and I really love this size because it’s really compact and it’s easy to carry around with you.

Here you have the square edges right there and then here you can see that it is stitched, and this is actually a handmade Journal and it is genuine leather as well. So this is what the outside looks like. You can see the stitching and again the back really nicely

Here’s the inside. We have the cover page here glued to the leather and you can see the leather. It’s only out and on the outside, but the leather looks natural on the inside here and then it is 100 pages and is eco-friendly paper because it is tree free. It is made from cotton and said as little specks of fiber in it, none of the camera picks this up the sun’s coming out. No more so I quite here you can see the specs of fiber all right there. So it’s it’s quite a rustic looking journal, it looks like it’s a great art journal.

You can see actually where it’s being stitched the binding right there and it is 125 GSM paper. So it’s nice and fake – and here you can see like the structure of the paper arms trying to hold it up. I’m gon na light a little bit and see it right there and it’s also um texture II. It has to do it, it’s slightly wavy.

 

So it’s very rustic paper I can actually just kind of like just feel like. I can still see how it’s been made and the papers actually handmade from cotton. So it’s really cool. You can see the way this wavy structure of the paper right there and then in the back again, it’s just glue to reaction cover right there to let it cover it’s a color page here and let me show you the writing sample.

So here we have a pencil ballpoint pen, 0.4, millimetre gel pen, 0.7 millimeter gel pen, and then here we have the pilot murder of Pauline fountain pen, medium nib diamine ring ink and it takes fountain pen nicely. But if it is absorbent paper, so it does soak up a bit of ink and Ankle of darker on this paper and you also get quite a bit of feedback when you’re writing on this paper, since this has quite a bit of tooth. So if you like, a really smooth writing experience – and this might not be the best paper for you – but if you like a little bit more feedback when you actually writing with things, then this is great or it’s pro, ah so great for sketching, drawing my looks like it might be able to handle some watercolor as well, so like for mixed media art, all types of just just being artistic with it. I think it’s a excellent journal, for that is that paper is 125 grams. Is it quite a bit thicker and it can handle ink quite nicely,

Go back and show you the back of my writing sample here. You have the back and you see there is just a little bit of ghosting, barely with the fountain pen, but there’s absolutely no bleed through, so it does handle all the Pens quite nicely.

 

As I said, it’s handmade. I think this is like a great travel journal. Our journal and yes, you can tell the paper – is blank and I think just don’t go through my notes here. I think that’s everything’s pretty much to know about this journal and it’s really cool. It’s nicely done.
