Hello, everyone today, I’m doing a review of the Leuchtturm 1917 bullet journal.
So let’s get started it’s an a5, which means it is 5.75 by 0.25 inches or about 14.5 by 21 centimeters. All right comes with an elastic strap. As you can see the notebook’s black, let’s take off the sleeve that it comes with right there.
Cover is pretty smooth. It has this very slight texture to it, but it feels soft and smooth nice leather. It cover the spine is pretty flat, as you can see. It says, bullet journal right here and printed on the front embossed and when you turn it around get the Leuchtturm 1917 logo right there.
Rounded edges and paper lines up pretty nicely with the cover. It’s maybe a millimeter overhang at most, so it looks very clean right there.
It comes with three bookmarks gray, white and black, so you can keep your notes, organized and easily accessible with that. Let’s open it up comes with a thank you card and a history of Leuchtturm notebooks. They sell and some information, and it has 240 pages actually 249. When you count the instructions in the back.
It is a dot grid, notebook. So there’s 5 millimeter spacing between those dark, grey dots and the whole notebook is numbered. So you no worry, you know it’s a rat quite easily makes it easy to keep track of everything, and it’s every colored, 80 gram ink proof paper and the paper feels absolutely incredible.
It’s super super soft, like silky, smooth velvety, like it feels so nice to touch and it’s a pleasure to write on it. So I’m really loving this paper and this notebook super smooth, super soft, it’s more soft then smooth. That’s leaky, smooth! It’S really soft to the touch feels really nice
It also comes with, is a pocket in the back. Let’s reinforce there on the sides with fabric and then with the archival stickers. It come with every Leuchtturm 1917 notebook.
So what makes this notebook special is that it is the bullet journal Edition, which means it explains to you how to use a bullet journal. It has a key here on the back of the cover and you can put your own keys further down. So it explains, you know how to keep track of your notes, with a pointing different keys to like task completed, my greatest schedule notes events, and it says down here, connect the dots to make your own bullets and signifiers, so you can, you know, create your own little key three notes, and just put them in here. So you know what it means, and you can always refer back to this page right here, which i think is really useful. And then here can put your name and contact on this cover page.
Then there’s some tips for getting started on this front page, and then it has four pages of index, whereas all other Leuchtturm notebooks have three pages of table of contents. So that already has the future login here in the instructions in the backs already tells you where that is and then you can, create your own index in the front. I said it’s four pages, one, two, three four and then there’s the future log. Also, the first four pages.
Then you can put your overview of the year – you calendar in here and future log, and it creates a nice little section ofjust having an overview in the beginning. It’s in that book and then you can use the rest of the notebook and fill it with your own notes and tasks and to-do lists and journaling and whatnot. So it’s pretty customizable.
Then in the back. You have more detail instructions. As I said, the last nine pages, our instructions right here how to use a bullet journal that works, the rocket logging and what the different bullets, meaning the signifiers and some tips, how they use the notebook more efficiently. And I like that, this information is in the back of the notebook and not in the front, and then here’s like you mention 16 and this notebook is made in Taiwan. As you can see, there’s a white cover page and then you can go to the Bullet Journal website and get more information on how to use the bullet journal, how to create it and some tips and tricks.
I’m really excited to start using this because I’ve posted a entry quite recently or show all the journals I currently use and I’m looking for something or a new system where it can compile some of these and consolidate them into one notebook. So I’m gon na give the Bullet Journal and I’ll try and see me, but I can get rid of two or three notebooks and I have all my information here. Not these a calendar anymore separately and a notebook for my work notes and my daily to-do lists and tasks can just tap all of this in this one notebook. So I’m very very excited about that.
I like the fact that it has three bookmarks, which also distinguishes it from other notebooks. Most notebooks only have one book market even and then Leuchtturm, since I think last year has two standard bookmarks in all their notebooks, and now this one comes with three, so you really know have easy access to all your different notes, and I think that Helps to stay organized in the notebook. I believe I mentioned that this is 80 gram. Acid-Free paper, that’s same proof.
I’m going to show you my writing sample real quick in the back right there. So we have a pencil and then a ballpoint pen and a 0.4 millimeter gel pen, a 0.7 millimeter gel pen and then a fountain pen de Pilot metropolitan diamine marine ink.
You can see and then here in the back. We have ghosting pretty much all the pens, but there is no key through with the fountain pen, so it is fountain pen friendly paper.
It does lie super super flat. It’S also something I like about this notebooks. I just pressed out a little om he Half is really clean, flat writing surface and when you just refer back to your notes and half this lying on the table, I just lies flat and open because I personally hate netbook. So just you know close back up on you and it’s just can’t access. You know it’s quite easily, so I love this about this notebook. I’m absolutely loving the paper in this, and I said it feels super super super soft and silky velvety.
I think that’s it on this notebook. If you have any questions about this notebook or the bullet journal, feel free to leave me comment. I haven’t tried the system yet, so I cannot give you any tips and tricks yet on how to use this, but I’m excited to give it a try and you can drive this entry. Please give it a thumbs up and for more notebook entries subscribe to my blog. Thank you so much for reading.
