Hello, everyone today, I’m doing a review of the Epica Softest Leather Wrap Journal, so this journal definitely does its name. Justice is probably the softest leather journal in the world. Definitely the softest one i’ve ever felt.Â
It comes in this gorgeous gift box. As you can see, but before we look into this, I want to show you what it comes with when you order it, especially for first-time purchases. You get this little gift package that it comes with. Let me show you that real quick, so I can use pretty ballpoint pen, it’s like just some rubber texture. It feels really nice to hold it’s like. It were really nice quality, little ballpoint pen with black ink and then a thank you card. Let me show that real quick, so this is really nicely put together and thought through. So I think a card from poca and then you get a $ 50 gift card for your next purchase and then a little leather letter from epic goes.
So so everything here with this company’s really thought through, as you can tell it’s a really high-quality premium product when you ordered a journal, as is from the website, it comes in this gift. Pouch, that’s really soft satiny little gift pouch and if you get it personalized to get it embossed, it will come in this beautiful gift box. So this makes an incredible gift, in my opinion, even to yourself, depending on how much you love yourself.

And here we have the journal, look at that, it’s absolutely gorgeous there we go so this is April, doe red! Let’S take this out, I said it’s a wrap tie channel and here’s the leather. It is absolutely incredible. Super flexible, flexible, it’s Italian, that the leather
I don’t usually love reptoid journals because it’s kind of hard to get into them because you only you got ta like unwrap this and yeah it’s. But this is not a journal that you gon na. Take with you quickly on the go for random notes and to do’s and shopping lists. This is really a journal that you want to treasure and cherish, because it’s something truly special. It is handmade in Italy. In Tuscany it is Italian leather.It’s one of the best Italian papers that they used for that and it is just a really really high-quality premium product.
So, as you can see, here’s the leather I just want to share this house. Can we have soft? This is absolutely incredible. It feels so great. I just want to keep touching this all the time.
It is a Bordeaux red. It comes in several different colors into two sizes. This is the larger size that is roughly an a5 and then a slightly smaller size. So this is a six and a quarter inches by eight and a half inches or 16 centimeters by 21 and a half centimeters.
As I said, the pidor red – and here you have the loge on the back – and you see the nice leather texture to it and feel super super soft to touch like it’s really really nice quality.
And here we have the stitching, which looks really nicely done. Just said hand-stitched in Italy.
Here we have the pages, you see the edges and those are deckled pages and they’re actually also hand torn, and it’s everything’s being handmade put together by hand and, as you can see, what I really like about this journal is how They stitched it together, often with this type of journals. There is quite a bit of a gap between these leaves of paper or you do the actual stitching here at the top and then the germs just kind of tapers off at the bottom. And I don’t really liked it because it makes it kind of bulky here and it’s just like kind of looks loose right here, but this is really tight and nicely put together. So I like the way this looks, and this gives it kind of like a medieval rustic, look which I also really like, because it fits this type of Journal.
The paper is 115 grams of slightly thicker than your average notebook paper. As I said, a really high quality paper from Italy, let me try to find a writing sample. It is off white paper, so it’s like actually I’d say like between off-white and cream. It’s not too yellow, but it’s definitely not a bright white so somewhere in between hold on find that writing sample.
Here we have the pencil a ballpoint pen, a zero point. Four millimeter gel pen is 0.7 millimeter gel pen, and here we have the fountain pen to pilot metropolitan medium nib with diamond marina ink and there’s not really any feather and just like really randomly right there and then right here you have a pad or feathering, but Not really dissection makes this look more interesting. In my opinion, I’ve definitely fountain pen friendly.
We have the back here. There’s hardly any ghosting barely and there’s absolutely no bleed through. So this paper is definitely fountain. Pen friendly. It is thick enough to handle some mixed media use, probably some light watercolor. You should be able to using that one as well.
It is a slight texture to it right here. Kind of camera picks this stuff, but it still that gives a really nice writing experience. It’s not too much feedback on the page. You can see actual texture of the paper in the structure of it. It’s really nice very high quality .
As I said, you can also let this be personalized and get it embossed, which makes it a great gift. In my opinion and another thing before I put this away, it lies flat so for those of you who love journals that I’ve just put lie flat because it gives me a better writing experience myself included this journal. Does that so, and it’s set a very high quality, that’s like it looks like it is really durable and gon na definitely take a beating, even though I don’t think you want to beat this up. I think you want to treasure this and treat it special, because it is truly an amazing notebook
