Baron Fig Notebook DURABILITY

Hello everyone! I really hope you’re doing well. Today, I’m going to give you my two cents on the Baron Fig Apprentice that I’ve been using for the past month or so. I just finished using it and really enjoyed taking it with me everywhere I go. It fit easily in my pocket and bag, and I took it on a couple of trips.

Durability and Build Quality

The notebook has held up really well. As you can see, the stitching is still intact. It did get beat up a little, but I did not baby this notebook, so I’m impressed with the quality and how well it has held up, especially considering it’s just a cardboard cover.

Functionality

One thing I loved about this notebook is that it lies flat when you open it and stays shut when you close it. Other pocket notebooks don’t do that, so this is a big plus for me.

Paper Quality

The paper quality is pretty good. It’s not incredible, but it’s good. I mostly used a ballpoint pen, so it worked fine for me.

Perforated Pages

Another feature I liked is that it has perforated pages at the end of the notebook. This was really handy, allowing me to tear out a couple of pages without ruining the whole notebook.

Size and Portability

For me, this notebook is the perfect size when it comes to pocket notebooks. I noticed that it’s harder to find this exact size. It is similar to a Midori Passport size notebook, measuring 3.5 by 5 inches. Most pocket notebooks are 3.5 by 5.5 inches. Let me show you real quick with a Moleskine notebook.

As you can see, the extra half inch on the Moleskine makes it slightly bigger, which doesn’t fit as easily in your pocket, especially if you want to carry it in a hoodie pocket or a pant pocket. The Baron Fig Apprentice fits easily and is also very flexible. It’s only 48 pages, which adds to its portability.

Recommendations and Price

If you have any recommendations for a notebook of this size that is soft cover, I would really appreciate it. Leave me a comment down below. The only drawback for me with this notebook is that it is pretty expensive for what it is. I will be looking for alternatives, but I still recommend it if you have the money to spare.
